About Us:
Dempsey Wood Civil is an established civil contracting company working across a variety of land development and infrastructure projects with a massive amount of work underway across Auckland, Te Tai Tokerau and the Waikato. It's hard mahi, so you won't be afraid to get your hands dirty and keep working when the kiwi elements throw it all at you.
Teamwork is crucial, so your time on the sports field will come in handy here. And like the sports field, you'll be given training and coaching to give you the best chance of success.
You'll be working around heavy machinery and surrounded by hazards so you'll be able to pass a drug test and your communication skills will be on point. You'll also need to have a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy to help you get the job done well.
You've gotta get to work every day (yes, that includes Mondays and the day after your mates birthday) and we kick off our prestart meetings at 0700. Therefore, you'll need your own transport and ideally a minimum of a restricted drivers licence – if you're not there yet it would be great if you can show how you're working towards your licence, your independence and the road to the $$$.
Mauri mahi, mauri ora
What's in it for you?
* Our culture, we're a whānau who take great pride in the quality of our mahi
* You get to learn from some of the best in the industry
* You'll get paid while you learn new skills
* Heaps of career pathways to choose from
PS. Jandals aren't allowed on the worksite, but we'll provide the proper PPE to help you stay safe and get home to the family each night.
